There are many operations you can perform with digital photos, but you would need several applications. If you want a single platform from which you can manage photos, edit them and so on, then you should look at JetPhoto Studio. Although its capabilities are not limitless, the application still provides you with much more than you would expect. It enables you to create photo albums on the fly, to geo-tag your pictures, use them in presentations and more.

Unlike traditional photo managers, JetPhoto Studio's album creation feature is not limited to dropping photos in a folder, on a Finder-like window. It allows you to create distinct albums and manage them separately, so you won't mix your photos in any way. Once you launch the application, a home panel will show up, on which you can find your created albums, as well as options for creating new ones, searching for pictures in all albums and importing photos from a digital camera.

When you open an existing album, its contained pictures will be displayed on a separate window, on which you can simply drag and drop new ones if you want to. A tabbed panel can be displayed on the right side of the interface, on which you can view and edit a selected picture's metadata, attach personal notes, set up a geo-tag and make a few visual adjustments and transformations. When you edit a picture, the application will create a copy, instead of applying your changes on the original, in case you make a mistake.

JetPhoto Studio gives you many more possibilities than just managing and editing your pictures. You can bring up a second panel, which presents a wide range of tools, for creating flash videos or Flash galleries, creating a Google Map gallery, uploading images to Flickr and much more.

Pros

The application makes managing photo albums quite comfortable. It allows you to geo-tag your images, edit them and create Flash videos or many other presentation types. What's more, JetPhoto Studio is offered free of charge and it takes only a few seconds to have it up and running.

Cons

You can import only JPEG images in your albums. Fortunately, the application will convert photos automatically if they are in other formats. When it comes to managing photo albums, few applications can match the efficiency and comfort of JetPhoto Studio.
